About the Nothing Store

As Obama and crew print and borrow more and more money, the U.S. dollar faces an uncertain future.

But three cheers for our Unmighty Dollars -- print as many as you like. They're already worth Nothing, so they can't go down in value.

Who is B.R. Lynch?

Beverly Rae Lynch is an award-winning artist and writer on Virginia's Eastern Shore. Her original landscape oils and prints have been displayed in galleries throughout the Mid-Atlantic and are in some of the finest private collections.

A few words from Beverly:

I work for Nothing, designing million, billion and trillion dollar bills. Nothing's CEO, Grumpoobah, says I get a percentage. Of Nothing. At least I have a job and I'm thankful for that.

Grumpoobah and I decided our store needed a physical address. This would enable our infinite supporters to contribute to the Nothing Think Tank. What do we think about? Nothing.

I left the mint's undisclosed location on Earmark Highway, popped a Guess Who CD in the player and motored to Rabbit Knaw Road. Rabbit Knaw leads to lovely Greenbackville, VA. I reached Greenbackville and looked for the post office parking lot. There was none; so I parked on the side of the road and entered the Greenbackville Post Office with a little girl who had brought an icy pop for the post mistress. This pleasant lady accepted my check for The Nothing Store's physical address and was delighted to choose one of our nothing bills for her personal use. This was not a bribe.

Greenbackville was named after the quantities of greenbacks around town during the oyster boom of the 1800s. The oyster boom burst, and Greenbackville fell into its present somnolence. Today, the federal government would bail out Greenbackville, become owner of the defunct oyster industry, and pay oyster fisherman not to harvest the non-existent oyters.

Our new physical address is The Nothing Store, P.O. Box 232 Greenbackville, VA 23356. You can contact Grumpoobah or me, B. R. Lynch at this address.

I am offering prints of my Nothing Dollars, on good paper, signed by me and numbered. We will issue only 100 of each bill. Suitable for framing. The cost is twenty dollars and we will take your IOU in the form of a personal check mailed to the above address. Be sure to tell us which bill you want. We are exploring PayPal, but we don't know if we want to go through the complications of digital dollars. Signed copies of my book, Wet and Hungry: An Atlantic Fisherman's Life, are available from www.authorsbookshop.com or unsigned from Amazon.
