About the Nothing Store

COMEDIAN IN CHIEF
Obama gives Wall Street billions of taxpayer dollars and then lectures them on "responsibility". Hahaha!
Imagine an audience trying to refrain from snickers, from guffaws, from rolling in the aisles. What happens when some just can't help themselves? I guess it'll be outrage in the media and apologies all around. "I'm sorry, so sorry," says Wall Street titan Joe Blow, trying not to smile and wiping the tears from his eyes. "I know he doesn't mean it this way, but he's just so damn funny! The bailouts...the executive bonuses...more regulations...spending our way to prosperity...hahaha!"
Contrast Obama's comedy monologue on the economy with this excerpt from the Inaugural Address by Ulysses S. Grant on March 4, 1868:
Let it be understood that no repudiator of one farthing of our public debt will be trusted in public place, and it will go far toward strengthening a credit which ought to be the best in the world, and will ultimately enable us to replace the debt with bonds bearing less interest than we now pay. To this should be added ........ the greatest practicable retrenchment in expenditure in every department of Government.
The prudent business man is careful about contracting debts payable in the distant future. The nation should follow the same rule."
Grant's steadfastness in restoring the nation to fiscal responsibility after the deficit spending of the Civil War brought in the greatest period of prosperity the country had known, helping to lift millions out of poverty and creating opportunities for all Americans, and especially for former slaves who fled the South for jobs in the booming northern cities.
What does Obama offer? More debt, more poverty, and more enslavement to government. Oh well, you got to laugh to keep from crying.
