About the Nothing Store
As Obama and crew print and borrow more and more money, the U.S. dollar faces an uncertain future.
But three cheers for our Unmighty Dollars -- print as many as you like. They're already worth Nothing, so they can't go down in value.

THE CHARGE OF THE QUITE BETRAYED
"Forward, the Quite Betrayed!"
Was there a man dismay'd?
Not tho' the soldier knew
Someone had blunder'd;
Theirs not to make reply,
Theirs not to reason why,
Theirs but to do and die;
Into the valley of Debt
Rode the dumb plunder'd.
(With apologies to Alfred, Lord Tennyson, and the brave soldiers of the Light Brigade)
The Peace Prize President is on a war footing, sounding the call to arms and incessantly reminding his fellow citizens of their sacred duty as foot soldiers in the march to the Brave New World. He's pushing War Bonds in the Crusade Against Capitalism.
The relentless drive to destroy capitalism was common to all the political malignancies of 20th century. Capitalists and free marketeers were attacked by the National Socialists in Germany and the Communists in Russia
And how does one destroy capitalism? It's not so easy. It takes force, lots of force. Because all other economic systems can be imposed on people by tyrants, capitalism can only result when impositions are lifted. When people are free to organize themselves, capitalism is the economic system that evolves. To destroy capitalism, freedom must be supressed.
And since freer people become wealthier people, tyranny always leads to poverty.
But it's not just by blood and force that freedom is restrained. Sometimes people are lulled into believing that slavery is for their own good. When we vote to put chains on others it is often ourselves who end up in shackles.
So beware the good speakers; they can weave their magic just as easily in the cause of slavery as in the cause of freedom.
Are the leftists and Obama leading us into poverty and tyranny? So far, it doesn't look good.
It appears to us that the things the rest of the world needs or perceives as valuable will increase in value as measured in degraded dollars. We are investing accordingly.
